WoW Item Upgrades
More commonly referred to as "upping"--are an enchantment and item that can be incorporated into weapons and armor pieces to boost their effectiveness. These upgrade item s add a number of points to the level gauge for the item, with their costs increasing with their popularity.
The melee PvP scene is extremely reliant on the perfect roll of armor due to its ability reduce weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
The upgrading process is a vital part of the crafting process. Upgrades can be used to improve an item's stats or increase its strength or provide a bonus effect. They can also alter the appearance of an item. While some upgrades are universal, others have specific rules for applying to armor or weapons. Making the wrong upgrade can ruin an otherwise great weapon, and may even lead to it becoming unusable.
A general rule is that you should only upgrade an piece of equipment up to the level of the most advanced gear within its category. You are able to upgrade helms only to the highest level. They can also be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades begin when "internal technology" can provide sentient beings new capabilities they are unlikely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology are prostheses or implants. This type of technology is not the same as medical internal technology, which aims to restore the capabilities of nature. It is the start of a process that will transform civilizations in a fundamental way. The universal upgrade is a lengthy and complex process. The process can be divided into two types that are complete success and partial failure.
This is similar to manner that resort upgrades are carried out at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually due to operational reasons like room availability or overbooking. Jewel Tiers are determined by the number of modifiers that they have. Jewels with higher tiers have more than lower-tier jewels. The primary effect of a gem is determined by the tier it's, while the secondary effect is randomized players can use luck potions to increase the chances of having better secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components, jewels can be inserted into an item that has a matching socket to enhance the item's. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost the strength of an item, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's ability to strike with force. Jewels can be inserted into all levels of armor, weapon and accessory slots, and some trinkets of exotic or lower rarity that require a slot that is not used.
Gems are a DM-specific mechanic that allows items to feel special to their owners. Requirements
WoW's item upgrade system allows players to level up the item levels of weapons, set pieces of equipment and trinkets over their current level of item from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. If the player decides to upgrade the item the item will be delivered to the NPC who is upgrading who will explain the process of upgrading the item. The player will then need to provide the appropriate currency needed for the upgrade and could be asked to provide additional materials should they require it. These requirements are determined by the item's level. Weapons have more strict requirements compared to armor.
In addition to the necessary upgrade components, a lot of upgrade recipes come with an acceptable materials list. This list shows what other upgrade components can be used on the item, as well as an indication of whether the item can be guaranteed to boost or other effect. This is important as the value of an upgrade may vary greatly depending on its "extras. For instance, perfectly rolled gear can be worth much more than the non-upgraded version.
